Juhani Tonteri winner of the Santa Open ’18
Daniel Vezis who had beaten Ülari Lees in semi-final couldn’t cope the same result in the final and Juhani Tonteri was able to steal the show in front of him. Tonteri grabbed 223 points, meanwhile Vezis did 209.
Juhani Tonteri: ”It was nice to get here and play in Santa Open ’18, competition was tough and before its start I hoped to get into the top 3. I’m happy about my result and hope to see you again in next year.

Round Robin:
As the Santa Open ’18 is moving towards the end there was an award ceremony for the best 3 players from the youth, woman and senior groups. From across the groups the third place awards were gained by Jolanta Kontavainiene in women, Artemijs Hudjakovs in junior and Faustas Matiukas in senior. Second place finishers were Raili Vaarpuu, Rihards Kovalenko and Timo Raatikainen. Teea Mäkelä, Oskar Vares and Teemu Raatikainen finished first.

First round of finals ended with a blast, Simon Susiluoto knocked off all of the pins and scored 300 in his last game.
B & C division winners.
B and C division finals were played. 4 of the best from each division gained place in division finals, winner of each final also gained place in the overall finals. In B division Polina Shutova came out on top, and in division C winner was Arvids Ermans. As Ermans had secured his place in finals through qualification, Faustas Matiukas was able to grab a spot in overall finals by finishing second behind Ermans in C division final.

Pasi Uotila won in squad 13 with total score of 1423, this gives him also first place in overall qualification.

Artur Levikin: “It was very nice to be in Tallinn and play in this beautiful alley. The overall atmosphere is very important for me when I bowl and here it feels like home. Thank you for very nice welcome! The playing conditions felt very suitable for my A game, I could play straight and hard all six games, struggling a bit during games 3 and 4. I used my new bowling ball, Katana Dragon,9-10 at foul line, 8-9 at breakpoint. I believe, this pattern is quite “playable” but you must be concentrated all the time.”

Qualification:
6 games, two players on lane. American play style. Left lanes move 1 pair to left and right lanes move 1 pair to right after each game. practise time 10 minutes on starting pair. Top 28 will continue in finals.
10 hcp for women, maximum game for women is 300p.
Lane maintenance:
lane maintenance is before every qualification squad and before final steps 1,2,3 and 4.
Classes:
For dividing to divisions we use last available average before first squad.
A – division, main-event.
B – division. Players with official average from 175.0 to 190.0 p (women from 165.0 p to 180.0 p)
C – division. Players with official average under 175.0 p (women under 165.0 p)
There are extra finals for TOP 4 players from both divisions – B- and C-division,
You can not participate in both divisions!
Juniors – U18 (born in 01.09.2000 or later)
Seniors – (born in 31.08.1968 or earlier)
Turbo – Turbo game is 6th game, You can buy turbo game before you start the 6th game.
